Sarah Valingo is in her eighteenth year as a high school English teacher. She currently teaches at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and Valley STEM. She also teaches English and Education courses part-time at Youngstown State University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Language Arts and her Master of Arts degree from Youngstown State University. She serves on the English Festival Committee at Youngstown State University and also holds the position of president of the Western Reserve of Ohio Teachers of English. She is a member of OCTELA, NCTE, and ALAN. She has edited two published novels and been published in the ALAN Review twice. She has also presented nationally at NCTE.
